All Morris County Parks, Jockey Hollow to Close Sunday

Facilities will be assessed after the storm passes and a Monday reopening is possible.

The Morris County Park Commission has announced that all county park facilities will be closed to the public on Sun., Aug. 28 due to the approaching storm. 

The Morristown National Historical Park at Jockey Hollow will close at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, along with Fort Nonsense, the Cross Estate grounds, the Washington’s Headquarters Museum and the Ford Mansion.

The parks will reopen Monday, August 29, 2011, dependent upon the outcome of damage assessment and safety inspections.
