Morris Minute Men Prepare for Storm

According to Capt. Mark Wintle of the , preparations for Hurricane Irene were well underway on Friday. 

"We’ve called up extra crews to stay at our headquarters day and night during the storm and we'll have a representative at the Emergency Operations Center," Wintle said.

We’ve been on calls with the county and we’ve had meetings today with both our municipalities (Morris Township and Morris Plains) to make sure everyone is on the same page and coordinating our resources for this storm.

I’m really impressed with how well they’re all preparing for this storm," Wintle said. 

The Morris Minutemen have been in existence for 70 years and, last year, were voted the best rescue squad in the entire country. Mark Wintle was named the top EMT.
