Parks to Close For Deer-Kill

White tailed deer population to be thinned in Morris County.

The Morris County Park Commission has announced that it will close multiple parks to the public on selected dates throughout the fall in order to conduct a population-reducing deer-kill. Two of the parks,  and , are partially located in Morris Township.The commission says the program "aims to reduce the threats posed to native flora and fauna by overabundant deer populations."

Recreational hunters are not permitted to participate. 

The following parks will be closed all day on the listed dates. Additional information is available on the Morris County Park Commission’s website: www.morrisparks.net.
