Pool Party: Entire Borough Invited

Be cool at the Morris Plains Community Center Pool.

Saturday is a special occasion at the Pool, when even non-members are welcome to enjoy the facilities.

The pool, home of the storied Marlins swim team, which hasn't lost a meet in years, will be hosting a "Splash Party" on July 16 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. All Morris Plains residents are welcome.

A deejay will be dropping beats, and Ronnie's All-American Bar-B-Que with cater the event. There is a entry fee of $5 for children and $10 for adults.

The pool's assistant manager, Chrissy Chase, said that pool rules will be relaxed for one day only. Children will be allowed to use pool toys for this special occasion, which is usually not the pool policy.

"It's a special party and families have a lot of fun, because it's open after dark."

So, if you want to stay cool or just be cool on Saturday night, and you don't have a pool, or a pool membership, head over to the Community Center Pool.

Eat, drink and be merry- and swim with family and friends!
