Pavilions will offer shade at four parks.

Next summer, there will be four more shady spots to take your picnic basket in Morris Township.

The Morris Township Committee has passed a resolution authorizing the purchase of four picnic pavilions for township parks. $37,000 was allocated for the purchase.

The shelters are to be installed at the following locations.

According to Bill Foelsch, Director of Parks and Recreation, the shelters will provide additional shade and rain cover for organized playground programs and also be available for small neighborhood gatherings in the parks.

"Our plan will be to have our parks division crew do the installation this coming fall," Foelsch said. "Timing will depend on weather."
