Question: Town, Township ... Where Do You Draw the Line?

It can be a difficult question, even for longtime residents.

Residents of Morris Township call it "the jewel of Morris County." And, it is. But many aren't sure where Morris Township ends and Morristown ("three square miles of heaven") begins.

The Morristown ZIP Code is 07960, which is actually quite a beast. It encompasses all of Morris Township, some of Harding, it even ventures into small areas in other bordering towns.

Burnham Park? See, now that's the town ... mostly. The pond is in the town. Yet, were you to walk around it from Morristown, you would end up in the township (). But, did you know Loantaka Park is in Morris Township ... somewhat. It meanders out the other side as well.

Rod's Steakhouse? Yep, township. We even just recently discovered that , the new nightclub on the site of the former Palm Bar on John Street, is just a hair's breadth into the township. Egg on our face.

Does it matter? It does for those that want Morris Township-specific news , or news specifically about Morristown (or, for some, Convent Station, which is actually part of Morris Township). And yet, these lines, they are pretty blurry, even for those that have lived here a long time. If you're a township resident, how many times have you told someone you live in Morristown?

And, that is our Question of the Day: Where do you draw the line between being a "Morristown" resident, or a "Morris Township" resident (or, a "Convent Station" resident)? Does it even matter to you?
