Quiet Day at the Polls for Local Uncontested Races

Results from Tuesday's primary.

Despite a from Tuesday's primary, residents in the township and borough still showed their support for candidates to run in November's general election.

According to the Morris County Clerk, the township Republican candidates Bruce Sisler and H. Scott Rosenbush, both incumbents, received more than 1,000 votes each. Rosenbush received 1,267 votes, while Sisler followed with 1,223.

For the two Democrats running for the Township Committee, Ron Goldberg received 548 votes and Noel Robinson received 524.

Joseph Cecala Jr. received 381 votes, while incumbent Laurie Fu had 374 in the uncontested borough GOP primary.

A total of 3,568 votes were cast in the township, and 757 in the borough. The township is comprised of 23 voting districts, and the borough has six.
