Board to Hear Plans for Planting at School

Votes on pre-school program and talent show also scheduled

Making the Morris Plains Schools a more beautiful place is the purpose of the Home and School Association’s Beautification Committee and the board of education will hear their plans at the meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Co-chairs of the committee Amy Cunningham and Maureen McEntee will present the committee’s proposal for “Spring Planting Project Proposal, “Purchasing a Plant.”  The board is scheduled to vote on the proposal.

Also on tap for the meeting is a scheduled vote to approve an integrated preschool program for the 2012-2013 school year. The program would be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $450 a month per pupil or $4,500 a year.

The board is also scheduled to approve a talent show fund raiser for the sixth grade camping trip. The show is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at borough school. Home and School Association Co-President Michelle Lynch and Second Vice President Teri Belles are running the talent show with assistance from Debra Greik, school nurse at borough school; Richard Hilton, instrumental music techer, and Kimberly Romano, health and physical education teacher.
