Lenape Family Day

The Morris Museum’s Lenape Indian Family Day will be Saturday, Nov. 12 from noon to 4 p.m.

John Kraft, creator and director of Lenape Lifeways will conduct an exploration of the Lenape culture with both authentic and recreated objects including masks, clothing, musical instruments and tools.

At 1 and 3 p.m., the Redhawk Native American Arts Council will performance. The performance is included with admission.

Children will join in on the Lenape dances. They will also examine Native American artifacts, create cornhusk dolls and design woven textiles. s are included with admission. The attached image is of a Redhawk Dancer. Image courtesy Redhawk Native American Arts Council.

 The Portable Planetarium will be used to teach about Native American legends and constellations in shows at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
