Five Things About the School Board Meeting

The public is always welcome to the Morris Plains Board of Education meeting

The Morris Plains Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center. Among the agenda items are:

1) Curtailing spending: The board is set to vote to curtail non-essential spending from the general fund.

2) Work at School: The board will consider authorizing Parette Somjen Architects to prepare applications to the state Department of Education for various site projects at Mountain Way, including roof replacement and conversion of storage space to classroom space.

3) Software upgrades: The board is set to approve the purchase of Synergistic lab equipment from Peitsco Education, proprietary software upgrades, professional development, delivery and installation for a total of $26,428.72.

4) Cafeteria equipment: The board is set to approve the purchase of $8,764 in cafeteria equipment for Mountain Way Shcool.

5) Replacement freezer: The board is set to approve the purchase of a 2-door Reach-in freezer for the Borough School cafeteria.
