Morristown High School senior Ben Burgess was recently selected for the 2011 All-State Orchestra. After a long audition process that pitted him against the best high school musicians in the state, he won the first chair, double bass spot. Not only that, he beat his nearest competitor by a whopping 20 points.
Ben will play at two upcoming concerts with the All-State Orchestra: at the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City in November and at NJPAC on Sun., Nov. 20. at 3 p.m.
