Patch wants to know: How do Morris Plains parents and taxpayers feel about being part of such a small school district?

With only a few hundred students in the borough's two schools, it's the sort of district some state leaders say just shouldn't exist—a prime opportunity for cost-saving consolidation.

But some school leaders and others are telling us they wouldn't have the Morris Plains district any other way, even if it means hard work and hard choices. The close community fostered by the tiny school system is a special one, they say.
