The Goldblatt Scholarship Competition promotes excellence in music teaching, learning, and performance for pianist and string players.  It is New Jersey's own youth competition to encourage young musical talent.  The competition's judges are drawn from the ranks of the area's finest professional concert artists, orchestral players and teachers.  Crucial as the competition is, however, performance experience is even more important.   The program allows winners to test their mettle before an audience of music lovers at the May 22nd concert in the Fine Arts Center at Delbarton School. Seeing young people perform their winning pieces is inspiring for everyone, and especially for young string students.  The May 22nd concert at Delbarton is free and open to the public.  If you have questions, call Carole Bradley at 973-663-2639. Delbarton School is located at 30 Mendham Road in Morris Township, three miles west of the Morristown Green.
