This Lacrosse Standout is on the 'Attack'

Brenna Lade, a 2010 Morristown High School graduate, is our "Whiz Kid" of the week.

Brenna Lade is on the attack. At least, that's the name of her position on the lacrosse team at Iona College, in New Rochelle, N.Y.

And, for her efforts on the field, and in the classroom, this Morristown High School Class of 2010 graduate was named our "Whiz Kid" of the week.

Before the 19-year-old started tearing things up at Iona (most recently being named "Co-Rookie of the Week" on April 15), she earned nine varsity letters in lacrosse, soccer and basketball at Morristown High School. Lade led the lacrosse team in goals, assists and points in each of her final three seasons, and was named All-Conference and All-County 2008-10, Best Offensive Player 2008 and 2009, and MVP as a senior. She also played for Tri State Lacrosse Club and the STA Screamin' Eagles Soccer Club.

On April 15, Lade had her seventh multi-goal game of the year with a hat trick. She registered the game-winning goal with her third tally of the day and had one assist in the victory. Lade also recorded two ground balls and one draw control.

Besides sports, Lade, currently a Criminal Justice major at Iona, was an Honor Roll student and recepient of the 2010 Blair Beinhaker Friendship Award at MHS.
