Video: Delbarton Wins County Lacrosse Tourney
Delbarton defeated Mountain Lakes in the Morris County Tournament 5-4.
Mountain Lakes completely dominated the first quarter but came away with only one goal. Delbarton tied it early in the second but Jon Broome scored to put Mountain Lakes up 2-1 at the half.
Delbarton took control in the second half scoring twice in the third quarter with goals from Ben Reynolds and John Shaffer. Moutain Lakes tied it in the fourth with another goal from Jon Broome but Anthony Heaton put Delbarton ahead for good on a goal off a rebound. Jack Breit got an insurance goal for the Green Wave and they would need it because Portnoy would strike again late in the game.
And that's how it ended: Delbarton 5, Mountain Lakes 4.
