Young Pros Help Kids Afford Morris, Sussex Schools

Annual fundraiser supports Tri-County Scholarship Fund

Earlier this month, more than 250 young adults attended Toast for a Cause in New York City, sponsored by the Tri-County Scholarship Fund Young Professionals group.

The fund provide financial support to New Jersey inner-city children so they can attend accredited parochial and private schools in Passaic, Morris and Sussex counties.

Held at Studio 450, the event raised more than $ 25,000 through ticket sales and a 50-50 raffle. "Attendees enjoyed the outdoor rooftop garden with spectacular skyline views, a top shelf open bar, endless gourmet appetizers and DJ True Statement," the group wrote in a press statement.

This past year, 100 percent of the fund’s seniors graduated from high school and 96% of that group went straight to college, according to the fund. In 2011, the fund is celebrating its 30th anniversary, including a gala dinner on Oct. 11.  For more information on how to get involved, e-mail Questions@tcsfund.org or call 973 984-9600.
