37th 'Uncle Frank' Fishing Contest Sat.

Kids ages 13 and younger invited to participate.

The Rotary Club of Morris Plains is sponsoring the 37th Uncle Frank's Trout Fishing Contest this Saturday, May 12.

Residents of Morris Plains are invited to attend, and the contest is open for kids 13 years old and younger. The parents may accompany the children, but they aren't allowed to participate in the contest.

The contest will be held from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Community Park Pond off Malapardis Road.

Participants must register at the pond on Saturday, and they must supply their own rod, line, bait, hook, float, and sinkers.

Prizes will be awarded to the kid who catches the first fish, the most, and the three largest.

Druetzler said that in recent years the contest has had about 70 kids participating. He said that after the contest is over, the pond is open for anyone to fish.
