"I don't think we've had two finer captains (in a season) during my years at Goucher," said head coach Katie Trainor, who began working at the school in 2005.  "Over the course of their careers, both players have demonstrated on-field leadership abilities, so it came as no surprise to me when they were elected captains by their teammates."

Despite missing the last three games of the 2010  season due to injury, Zimmerman, who attended high school at the Academy of St. Elizabeth, had 21 ground balls, caused 15 opponent turnovers and controlled five draws.
