Like poker? Like helping kids? Hate travel?

St. Virgil Academy and Morris Catholic Junior School has a suggestion for you, but you'd better hurry and register now.

Forget Vegas. Even Atlantic City is too far. Instead, enter the St. Virgil gymnasium on the evening of Saturday, October 27th, 2012 and you will experience the best the gambling world has to offer, right in your own back yard!

We’re talking a virtual World Series of Poker, complete with professional dealers, a pit boss, clay chips and authentic poker tables.  Our third Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament is not to be missed.

The evening starts with a buffet dinner and open bar to give you time to socialize with friends and find your seat. Once everyone is comfortably seated, "Shuffle up and deal!” starts the action. Down on your luck at the start?  Don’t worry, you’ll get a chance to buy an additional stack of chips and stay in the action.

As the night rolls on, the action goes to the final table to play out to a winner. It’s almost as thrilling to watch that action as it is to be in it.  Although, the payout of up to $2,000 in Visa gift cards isn’t so shabby either!

The more players who enter, the bigger the payout. The tournament is as much fun for the first time player as it is for the poker aficionado. Our professional dealers will make every player feel at ease and, who knows, you might even get a chance to beat your friends!

Encourage a group to come along; for just $100 per person, you get a night of food, drinks, fun and a chance to walk away with more money than you came in with--it can’t be beat!

This particular event supports the SVA/MCJS Home and School Association (HSA).  The HSA supports the school’s vital academic programs, such as our new S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), as well as our robust extra-curricular programs and the school’s general operating costs.  Please help support the school by attending this extraordinary event!

* Prizes awarded with Visa Gift Cards, prize amounts based on 100 entries. All players start with 10K in chips. A onetime add-on for 10K in chips is available at the start of the tournament for $75. Rebuys of 10K in chips are available for the first 90 minutes at $75.

** PAYMENT REQUIRED IN ADVANCE TO CONFIRM SEAT and assure correct number of professional dealers.  Day of registration on a space available basis only and onsite (web registration closes midnight before the event starts)
