Rugby – the new Olympic sport! It’s safe, co-ed and builds fitness!

The program is intended for children entering K-9th grade.  It is a coed, non-contact “touch” form of Rugby using flags.  Skills including running, kicking, passing, space strategy, teamwork, and self-confidence will be developed.

  • Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and games will be held at the Knollwood School Field beginning Tuesday June 12th
  • The final tournament on July 21st 
  • All games are played on Saturdays at 9:00 am. 
  • Certified Rugby Coaches and players from the Parsippany PAL Rugby Club and Morris Rugby Club will organize the teams and sessions along with help from parents.
  • We will also offer tackle Rugby lessons after practice to those Eagles interested in learning

  • For your convenience – all players practice at the same time and at the same field

Register for PAL Flag Rugby online at www.parsippanyPAL.org click on REGISTRATION on the left and then click on 2012 FLAG RUGBY SUMMER –fill out the form and click submit

Due at the time of registering is: Registration Fee of $60.00, $45.00 refundable Uniform Deposit, $50.00 refundable Volunteer Fee per family, and the $60.00 Candy Fundraiser (or $30.00 buy-out) per family. All players will receive a t-shirt as well.

 

As with any PAL program, we never turn a child away from participation.  If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact the PAL.  All information will be kept confidential.
