Jets Return to Florham Park, Open to Public

Tebow, Sanchez and the rest of Gang Green will practice for all to see for two days.

In what has been the antithesis of a quiet offseason and opening to training camp, the New York Jets will finally bring the show to their Florham Park home for all to see on Thursday.

After closing shop in Cortland, N.Y., on the campus of SUNY Cortland, Gang Green will hold their first of two straight public pratices at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center at 1 Jets Drive in Florham Park. Practice on Thursday will begin at 12:30 p.m., with Fan Fest and the Jets Shop opening at 11:30 a.m. On Friday practice begins at 11:20 a.m., with Fan Fest and the Jets Shop opening at 10:20 a.m.

The continuation of camp at the team's home away from the Meadowlands follows what has been an eventful series of months.

In March, fans were introduced to quarterback Tim Tebow, who the Jets obtained through a trade from the Denver Broncos after they secured future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. Tebow in Florham Park, where he he was to be part of the team.

The Jets also have a new offensive coordinator in former Miami Dolphins head coach (where he was Bill Parcells' pick) Tony Sparano. Sparano is thought by many to be a run-oriented coach, who head coach Rex Ryan is reportedly charging with getting Tebow involved in the Wildcat option offense (though it's apparently partially under a veil of secrecy).

Other than the Sanchez-Tebow talk that started even before the trade was official, there has been the controversial comments by defensive back Antonio Cromartie (he reportedly said he's the second best receiver on the team), and yet more contract talk concerning all-world cornerback Darrelle Revis.

The team comes to town with all of that in the background while trying to build on what has been a string of success that ended disappointingly last year. After two straight years in the AFC Championship Game, the team came up short of the playoffs last year after Ryan guaranteed they'd win the Super Bowl prior to the season.

Starting Thursday for two days, those in and around Florham Park can get an up-close look at how the squad is preparing to make its run at the title this year.

So when will Tebow be named the starter? Game 5 or 6? The Defense is going to help keep them in the game, the offense is going to be the downfall of the Jets season...
