Sign-ups for Softball, T-Ball End Soon

Softball and t-ball players wanted

Registration closes for the Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation’s Girls Softball and Children’s T-Ball for the Spring 2012 season on Friday, March 16.

The girls softball program is open to Morris Township and area girls in grades 2 through 5. The emphasis is on fun.  Softball is a lifetime sport that combines play with  creating new friendships. Teams begin practices April 2 and play league games from late April through June. The registration fee is $25 per player. 

The Morris Township T-Ball League is an instructional skills program for boys and girls ages 5 to 7 who reside in the Township.  Children must turn age five by Aug. 31.  Emphasis is on skills instruction, learning the rules of the game, fun and sportsmanship.  Practices are held on weekday evenings once each week beginning April 16.  Parents must register their own children and bring a copy of the player’s birth certificate.  The registration fee is $25 per player.
