Wag and Walk For Cancer Awareness

Morristown's first ever cancer dog walk fundraiser this Saturday.

This Saturday, 911 Dog and Cat Rescue and Youth Survival Coalition ,the Morristown based animal rescue group taking in all of Morristown's stray and surrendered dog and cats is hosting a "Wag and Walk" fundraiser starting at 11 a.m.

The event features a gentle one-mile walk down South Street in Morristown, meeting up behind George and Martha's Restaurant.  According to organizer Jackie Braun, from noon to 2 p.m. there will be a DJ, vendors, raffles and speakers.

“We encourage people to bring their dogs on the walk and after for the fun,” Braun said.
 
Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. behind Morristown Town Hall at 200 South Street in Morristown and the walk is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“We’re really excited,” Braun said. “There will be goodie bags with t-shirts for all. Only $35.00 per person to walk and doggies are free.

  • Every registrant is entered for a chance to win a restaurant.com gift certificate. 
  • Whole Foods and Pet Goods have graciously donated many items including rawhide, jerky, toys etc that we will be selling at reduced prices.
  • Tricky Tray baskets include dog items, soft pet carrier, toys, ipad sleeves, iphone covers, collectable bears and so much more.
  • All profits will be split between 911 Dog and Cat Rescue and Young Survivor Coalition.
