Corrections Officers Gather for Camaraderie, Fundraising in Morris Plains
First Annual Clambake for PBA #298
Clams were steaming, burgers were grilling and corn-on-the-cob was boiling as the Morris County Corrections Officers of PBA local #298 hosted a clambake at the Watnong VFW in Morris Plains on Oct. 10. The event, which was open to the public, was designed as both a fundraiser and an opportunity for officers and their families to spend time together. Corrections officer Matthew Dunbar had the job of toiling over several steaming vats of clams. Asked if this was duty he volunteered for, he laughed. "Cooking is a hobby. I enjoy it," Dunbar said.
