Something to Mull: Recipes for Seasonal Beverages

Warm and cold refreshments fit the season

Whether you are hosting a holiday gathering or asked to bring refreshments, seasonal beverages are enjoyable and require minimal effort to prepare. Both mulled wine and hot cider are nice ways to complement cocktail hour, and the latter can also be enjoyed by those looking for an alcohol free alternative. Mulled Cranberry Wine Combine all ingredients (except vodka, sweetened dried cranberries and almonds) in a large sauce pan. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Strain punch to remove spices. Stir in vodka if desired. Place 1 tablespoon sweetened dried cranberries and 1.5 teaspoons of almonds in bottom of each punch glass or mug.
