POLL: What Restaurants Do You Want to See in Morristown?

With two new dining destinations with Italian themes being announced this week, Patch wants to know what you hope will come next.

Hungry? In Morristown, you have options. That was made even more evident this week when Patch reported not one, but two new restaurants are set to open in early 2013—Fiore's Italian on Elm Street and Olive Lucy's on Speedwell Avenue. While Olive Lucy's also plans on serving Portuguese staples like Paella, both new dining destinations have Italian themes. They are going to have a lot of competition here, not just from their other paisans, but from the plethora of restaurants that aren't Italian that also call Morristown home. To that end, we want to know what type of restaurant you would like to see come next? A new diner? Greek? Vietnamese? More Italian? Something else? Chime in below.

Mitt Proved Intellectual Superior to 'BHO' in Debate

Morristown resident says this is 'good news for those who aspire to participate in a growing economy.'

To the Editor: Embarrassed Republican? The referenced author's silence this past weekend was particularly noteworthy following the "embarrassing" performance of BHO in the debate last week. Mitt proved to be his intellectual superior while BHO was lost without his Teleprompter. It was clear to me, every poll and most of the demoralized liberal media that Obama is outmatched. Bad for him and those who prefer to only be takers in our society. Good news for those who aspire to participate in a growing economy. —Edward Doyle Morristown

EPA: We do need clean air and water but it's not what they're busying themselves with lately. Carbon dioxide, a pollutant, really? USDA: Leave it to the states. FCC: Wavelength ranges is what they were created for, and they must stick to it. Janet Jackson's exposed nipple? Net neutrality? not on my dime. Dept of Ed: All it does now is pumping money from states who refuse to lick Washington's boot…   more ›

POLL: Should Children Be Able To Use Facebook?

The social-networking site is apparently mulling over the idea.

Facebook is developing technology that would allow those under the age of 13 to access the site under parental supervision, a move that could help bring in a sea of new users for revenue but that could also increase privacy concerns, according to a report in Monday's Wall Street Journal. The technology being tested would allow children's accounts to be tied to their parents' accounts so that parents would decide whom their children could "friend." New kid-friendly features also could allow Facebook and its partners to bill parents for games and other entertainment accessed by their kids. Currently Facebook bans those under the age of 13. But several studies show that many kids use Facebook despite the ban, often with their parents' …

Honestly you're all just wasting your time. Kids are going to make facebooks if they want to, and there isn't much you can do other than not allow it at home in your vision. Good luck with the online arguing though, I'm sure it's productive.   more ›
