Rosaria Andraka had a knack for guiding students during what could be an overwhelming time for them—starting college in an honors program. The honors program coordinator for Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham gave advice, explained scheduling and helped coordinate educational opportunities outside the classroom, such as having students participate in conferences and visit Washington, associate campus provost Brian Mauro said Wednesday. She also was charismatic, a class act, and lit up a room when she walked in, he said. "Rose was gifted at making students understand the process," he said. Murder, Suicide Ruled in Deaths of Ex-Cop, Wife

Chester and Rosaria Andraka called a 'perfect couple' found dead inside their Parsippany home.

A former Caldwell Police sergeant committed suicide and his wife was murdered inside their Parsippany home, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Chester Andraka, 46, committed suicide with a single gunshot wound and his wife, Rosaria Andraka, 43, was killed by "gunshot wounds inflicted upon her," according to a brief statement released Tuesday evening by Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp. The causes of the deaths were determined following an investigation and autopsies conducted by the Morris County Medical Examiner, Knapp said. Ex-Cop, Wife Shot Dead Inside Parsippany Home

Chester and Rosaria Andraka, both FDU employees, found Monday morning.

A husband and wife were found shot to death in their Parsippany home Monday morning, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. Chester Andraka, 46, and his wife, Rosaria Andraka, 43, were each found shot to death in their Medford Road home Monday at about 10 a.m., according to a statement released by Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp. Chester Andraka, who worked at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. and taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University, was a former Det./Sgt. with the Caldwell and Essex County police departments, according to his LinkedIn profile. Andraka was a part-time adjunct instructor at FDU, according to the university. Rosaria Andraka was also employed at FDU as an advisor and the honors program administrator, …
