New Nail Salon Opens on Market Street

Peace Nails & Spa opened at 27 Market St. Oct. 10.

Market Street is quickly becoming a destination for fit and fashionable folks to spend time. With Powerflow Yoga now open at 40 Market St., and another fitness studio currently being worked on across the street—as well as Fitness Together nearby, there's no doubt it's an athletic and limber road. As of Oct. 10, it also is becoming stylish as Peace Nails & Spa (973-998-4500) opened at 27 Market St., near High End Barber Shop & Salon, London World Connection and Bloom. And, you thought all Market Street had to offer was an entrance to the DeHart Street parking deck, side entrances to Starbucks and Roots, and the Market Street Mission.

Yoga and the Yankees: Together in Morristown

Owners of yoga studio and Emmy Award-winning production studio moving both businesses to Speedwell Avenue.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Janice and her sister (and other business partner), Lisa Molinari, will open the new offices for Brisun Productions, which has for years worked with such names as CBS, the Discovery Channel and the New York Yankees, winning multiple awards along the way.  "It's going really …

Prisoners Get Free Yoga, All I Get Is To Complain About It

What's so wrong with learning downward-facing dog at 5 a.m.?

Earlier this week I was reading about this yoga program being offered in the Morris County Jail ... the free yoga program offered in Morris County jail.  And it got me to thinking. Do you know who else would enjoy a free yoga program to, as the writer put it, "find their 'center,' to get to a place where they can think about their choices and be intentional about their future?" Me. How about you? I have no idea where my center is and, frankly, I would like to find it and it would be great if I could find it for free. So I was a little aggravated at this news and not so much about the free yoga, though that was the jumping off point, but about being ... well yeah, it was the prisoners getting free yoga. I was a bit scared to say it, but now…

aside from you're blithe self-concern and suggestion that criminals don't deserve charity (but you also want god in schools? That's an odd mix of Christianity...) you have some good points. Yoga should be free. It should neither be too expensive nor too hard nor too hard to find. It shouldn't be a luxury item for the few who can pay, but an actual tool available to actual people who want to, ahem…   more ›
