There's something to be said for simple elegance. Sure, there is the elegance that comes in big, in posh, in bold. But, sometimes, that elegance gets overpowered by opulance. At The Artist Baker, a little country-styled bakery on Cattano Avenue, the elegance does not need flash. And, more importantly (for this column, especially), the food speaks for itself. I had heard of The Artist Baker several times from its involvement with local organizations like Grow it Green Morristown. There, it was their treats on display. My wife and I had lunch at the Artist Baker today and the experience was better than I expected. The hot chocolate was delicious, even though it arrived luke warm and had to be reheated. By the way, the marshmallows are home made and also delicious. I had the pot pie and my wife had the quiche. both were excellent!
