Catherine Grote, Neighbor

I am a 37 year old mother of one. A 4 1/2 year old son named Fred. I have been running since I was 9 years old. Both myself and my husband Ryan have worked in the running industry for over 15 years. We currently are employed by the Running Company here in town. I volunteer at the Somerset Hills YMCA, in Mendham, and here in town mentoring and leading running groups. Both myself and my husband raced professionally before having our child. (He won the Philly Marathon in '98  and has run an Olympic Trials Qualifying time in the marathon. He was also a Professonal Triathlete!) I was on a woman's elite racing team for Asics  and Brooks, have won many local road races, but am a marathoner at best where I have won the Wineglass Marathon in 2003 and finished as runner-up in the Steamtown Marathon in 2005. Now I just run for fun and enjoy the zen-like state that it puts me in.
