Mary has been a Freelance Pen & Ink Artist and Photographer since the early 1990's.   After receiving her K-12 Art Certification in 2001, Shadbolt taught studio art to students on the Middle school and finally High School level.

In 2007,  Shadbolt married and moved from Hoboken to Denville and started a family!  Though currently not teaching art, Shadbolt is still maintaining her freelance work and enjoying EVERY minute of being a mom.

Through her Patch blog she will share her experiences as a Morris County resident and freelance photographer.  In January Mary accepted a self -issued challenge of taking a photo every day and posting it on Facebook.  Her "365Beauty" album captures the beauty she finds around her in her daily life.   Mary hopes this 365Beauty challenge will inspire you!
