Morris Twp. Butcher Shop Preps For Saturday Opening

They plan to have an open house meet and greet next week

After almost a year of planning, paperwork and construction, Nugent’s Prime Meat Market is ready to bring a slice of nostalgia to Morris Township and the surrounding communities. They open their doors for the first time at 8 a.m. this Saturday.

A few local guys are looking to recreate that experience where you'd go into a family-owned butcher shop whose employees knew your name and order.

Howard Horowitz, Tony Prizzi and Tim Nugent are opening up Nugent’s Prime Meat Market between Elite Picture Framing and Epitome Style Lounge on Speedwell Avenue. All three are from Morris Township.

"We had so much work to do, filling up the showcases and getting it ready to go," said Nugent. "We're finally going to be open. It’s been a long road traveled, but everyone's really excited about."

They plan to have an open house meet and greet next week. Read more about the owners, the butcher shop, where they came up with the idea and more in this Patch article:
